Jetson's Journey

What does a man do when the life he built disappears in a single day? Michael Smith drives east with a duffel bag and Jetson—the black Lab his daughter loved, the last living thread to the life he lost. He has nowhere else to go and ends up in Franklin, Tennessee. He takes a job stocking groceries, walks the dog, and quietly begins to write.

He doesn't expect the bookstore owner with the steady hands and the sharp questions. The neighbor's hostility turns out to hide something more complicated. Franklin, somehow, makes a place for him before he'd thought to ask. And he doesn't expect someone to see him before he's ready to be seen.
